ALARM SYSTEMS

Alarm systems are the backbone of your fire protection system by alerting necessary personnel. Alarm systems should be inspected at least annually. Annual inspections are required under NFPA 72 Section 10 and provincial fire codes. Adhering to regulations, our technicians are all CFAA or provincial equivalent certified, provide detailed ULC reports and offer 24-hour emergency support.

DAILY
  • Check fire alarm AC power lamp and trouble light.
MONTHLY
  • Test and inspect fire alarm system and communication system.
  • Test and inspect smoke alarms as per manufacturer’s recommendations.
ANNUALLY  
  • Test fire alarm system by trained technician.
  •  Test voice communication system
   

Any person who performs annual tests or inspections of a fire alarm system and any person who repairs, replaces or alters components of a fire alarm system shall:

  • have successfully completed a program or course acceptable to the Fire Marshall

  • produce for inspection, upon request by the owner or the Chief Fire Official, a copy of a certificate or document attesting to the successful completion of a program or course referenced in Clause (a), and

  • perform the inspection, test, repair, replacement or alteration in accordance with NFPA 72 Section 10 and provincial fire codes.”
