SELF CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS (SCBA)

A Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) is a complex piece of equipment that is designed to provide life-saving performance of equipment that is designed to provide life-saving performance high calibre performance from those who maintain your SCBA. We provide both mobile and shop service for all your SCBA repair, maintenance, and inspection needs.

As your authorized Scott, MSA, and Survivair Service Centre, our facilities are staffed with factory-trained and certified technicians who have satisfied and maintained specific standards of performance. Our technicians also have the practical knowledge that comes from years of experience in meeting the needs of fire and industrial SCBA users.

Proper preventative maintenance can go a long way to ensuring your equipment continues to perform at its optimum level.  

ANNUALLY
  • All open-circuit self-contained breathing apparatus shall be flow tested (NFPA 1981, 1997 edition).
  • Conduct internal visual inspection of all breathing air cylinders (CSA z94.4-02, sections 10.3.3.5; 10.3.3.6; 10.3.3.6.2; 10.3.3.7).
  • Replace air in cylinders (CSA z94-4-02 10.5.5.2).

EVERY THREE YEARS
  • Hydrostatic test all wrapped composite breathing air cylinders (CSA B339-2002).

EVERY FIVE YEARS  
  • Hydrostatic test all aluminium, composite and steel breathing air cylinders (CSA B339-2002).
